'The great Swiss painter Paul Klee often spoke of his work as just 'taking the line for a wal'. With apologies to Monsieur Klee, it could be said in a similar fashion that the new Harlequin series of bold, black and white designs takes standard geometric forms for a little outing. Basic tessellation games in fact, but the result is really quite surprising – simple but at the same time complex; negative but also positive; and you just need to change the orientation and the whole pattern shifts. You can use Harlequin designs as dramatic running borders, in combination with our Architecture base tiles or, more distinctively, as freeform decorative panels which look stunning behind a range cooker, over a bath or in a shower.'
