Sourced Market & Delicatessen at St Pancras Station is a stunning example of how our tiles can be used to create a contemporary, yet established look in keeping with the store's offering.
Shaun Clarkson, from Shaun Clarkson Interior Design (Atlantic Bar&Grill, Camel Victoria, Bloomsbury Ballroom etc) says of the project, ' The look was to create a modern take on a London covered farmers market with a twist. The look is fresh and reliable and good quality, like the product being sold. Fired Earth tiles helped give us the look. Cool colours with an authentic hand made quality, applied in a modern way, complimented our look perfectly '
Fired Earth products used: The tiles used were Retro Metro 75mm x 150mm in colours, Marble Arch, Lime House and Holland Park. Designer : The tiling was designed by Shaun Clarkson Interior Design ( see other projects at www.shaunclarksonid.com )
Fitter: The installation was carried out by Moderna, project managed by Shaun Clarkson Interior Design
Venue details: Sourced Market - is an ethical, high-quality food market created to improve the offer at festivals and events– is to take up its first permanent home at London's St Pancras International station in September (see www.sourcedmarket.com )
It was created in 2007 by festival fans Ben O'Brien and Tim Harvey - who became disenchanted by the food provided at shows - to promote fresh, seasonal, healthy and, where possible, locally-sourced produce.
The fixed St Pancras site – which will be located opposite the ticket office and local Starbucks at street level – w as designed by interior designer Sha u n Clarkson, who was responsible for such iconic venues as the Bloomsbury Ballroom, the Atlantic Bar & Grill and Denim.
The often award-winning food on offer will include wines and beers, cheeses from Neal's Yard Dairy, sustainably-sourced fish and seafood from Looe in Cornwall, free-range meats from Jody Scheckter's biodynamic Laverstoke Park Farm, and freshly-baked breads and pastries from Flour Power City and Flour Station.
