Fired Earth recently supplied bathrooms and tiles for the Alladale Wilderness Reserve which offers luxury accommodation in the most remote and beautiful setting in the Scottish Highlands, just one hour’s drive from Inverness.

'The new Glen Alladale bothies are Eagle's Crag and Ghillie's Rest. These are two newly built/restored stone dressed cottages, located in the stunning Glen Alladale. Built on high sustainable principles, they have used local materials in their construction, from reclaimed timber & sheep's wool insulation, to Caithness slate floors. Both Eagles Crag and Ghillies Rest are powered by hydro-electric turbine and have the added benefit of under floor heating. They have taken great care to sensitively furnish the interior and give them a unique feeling of 'place'.

Richard Rees, Fired Earth's Business Manager, says: 'In specifying Fired Earth bathrooms, tiles and paint both at the main Lodge and in the new cottages, they have brought a touch of luxury to the setting and a feeling of quality, without stepping into opulence and ostentation. This would have been at odds with the rest of the project, which is all about the outstanding natural beauty outside the window. This has been achieved by the specification of products that are high in quality, yet quietly refined, giving the interior aspect a finish that complements the stunning beauty of the Glens outside, rather than detracting from it.'

Fired Earth products used:

St Moritz bath, Kensington basins, cisterns and pans, Metro/Avebury/Logic taps and showers, Richmond/Chelsea bathroom accessory ranges, Venetian Marble Crema mosaic tiles (48mm sq on 305mm square sheets), Venetian Marble Avorio mosaic tiles (48mm sq on 305mm square sheets).
